BOOK REVIEW | Beach Read by Emily Henry

“And that was the moment I realized: when the world felt dark and scary, love could whisk you off to go dancing; laughter could take some of the pain away; beauty could punch holes in your fear. I decided then that my life would be full of all three.”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Happy publication day to one of my favorite reads so far this year, Beach Read!

SO many solid quotes about life and love in this title, but this one stuck out for me and was everything I needed in a must read book during the Coronavirus, and one I know I will recommend to EVERYONE.

Not your typical beach read fluffy title, but an emotional, well written lovely piece of reading that I know I will recommend over and over. I anticipate it will be one of the top reads of the summer reason, and remain among the top reads for me of 2020. I could not rave about this book more, READ IT.

January, a romcom author with her latest book due to her publisher who just can’t write when she has lost that happily ever after feeling for herself. Gus, a literary writer with a desire to know the why behind the story, stemming from his own rough past.

The witty banter between Gus & January made me giggle, it was perfect for getting to know the characters, and was the first thing I fell in love with in this title.

Will Gus change her mind about her own fairy tale princess ending?

This title was my May 2020 Book of the Month selection!
